Creatine Breakfast Cookies Recipe:

 What you’ll need

  • 1 tbsp flaxseed meal + 2½ tbsp water (for a flax egg) or 1 medium egg
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3–4 scoops Biogen Creatine Monohydrate
  • 1 heaping cup buckwheat or gluten-free oat flour (or flour of choice)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to make it

  1. Mix the flaxseed meal with water and let it sit for 5 minutes to gel.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat together the flax egg (or regular egg), brown sugar, and softened butter for 3–5 minutes. Add vanilla and mix for another 20 seconds.
  3. Add the flour, Biogen Creatine powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir on low until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Refrigerate the cookie dough for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line 2 trays with parchment paper. Scoop ~18 cookie mounds onto the trays, spacing them about 2cm apart. Bake for 10–14 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centres remain soft.
  6. Let cookies rest for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Store in an airtight container for 3–5 days, or freeze for up to 1 month.

These creatine breakfast cookies prove that you can have your cookie and eat it too – while still getting in your daily creatine!
