Protein Banana Bread With Night Feed Casein

This scrumptious protein banana bread combines the goodness of ripe bananas with the protein punch of Biogen’s Night Feed Casein Protein powder. It’s a deliciously satisfying option for any time of day, whether it’s a quick breakfast bite or a comforting evening snack. Let’s get baking!

  • 3 overripe bananas
  • 1 heaped scoop of Night Feed Casein Protein, Vanilla Custard flavour
  • 1¾ cups of self-rising flour (you can substitute half with oat or wholewheat flour)
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1½ tsp of baking powder
  • ½ tsp of baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chopped brown dates to top
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Begin by mashing the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl. To this, add the brown sugar, milk, oil, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Sift in the self-rising flour, along with the Night Feed Casein Protein. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and you have a smooth batter.
  4. Line a bread tin with parchment paper and pour the batter into it. Sprinkle the chopped brown dates over the top.
  5. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is a lovely golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, remove the banana bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the tin to room temperature.
  7. Once cooled, carefully remove the banana bread from the tin, slice it up, and serve.
