Biogen Pure Carbs Fast Absorbing Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide (a form of carbohydrate) that is rapidly converted into glucose in the blood stream, providing a quick source of energy. Maltodextrin is derived from a variety of starch products of which maize is the most common.

Carbohydrates provide the main source of energy during excercise and are stored in the muscles and liver as glycogen. During excercise the body dervies most of its energy required from these glycogen stores. In addition it is also a preferred source of energy for those individuals interested in increasing their body weight. Carbohydrates consumption stimulates greater insulin production, which promotes the entry of nutrients into cells and contributes to building and repairing muscle tissue.

DOSAGE: Mix ±1 scoop (52 g) with a protein shake, zero carbohydrate electrolyte drink / pre-workout, water or juice of your choice. Have one serving per hour of activity (lasting 90 min+), and another within 30 minutes afterwards, or use as directed by a sports adviser. Supplements should not replace a varied diet.
