The Biogen Virgin Active partnership kicked off in October 2023 with a bang, and members have quickly snapped up hard-earned rewards with Biogen Iso-Whey and Cytogen sachets and unlocked streak rewards for the full 100% discount on a month’s supply of Biogen Multivitamin.
The Biogen team and management want to thank all members for their enthusiasm and, at times, their patience with the launch and process. We also want to thank the Virgin Active customer care and Dis-Chem retail teams for their support! We are truly thrilled to align with South Africa’s premier fitness destination.
While the campaign has been a resounding success, it has not gone without some teething and stock issues. In particular, we noted the absence of some sachet stock for weekly rewards at times, and we are taking steps to bump up stock levels exponentially by doubling-up on group orders each month.
The full responsibility of stock supply and management sits with the Biogen team, not Dis-Chem, our retail partner, nor Virgin Active. In this regard, we are initiating back-up discount vouchers to the same retail value (R50) linked to a minimum purchase to ensure no members go without their rewards. We expect this to go live within the next two weeks.
In addition, we are confident that from next week, all Dis-Chem stores will be fully restocked with Biogen Iso-Whey Sachets (with orders aligned to demand per store plus a 50% additional buffer).
Biogen Cytogen sachets are available again in our distribution hub but due to Informed Sport protocols, stock remains blocked to order until certificates are supplied. In future, we will also make Biogen Pure Energy sachets available as a back-up reward to avoid any disappointment.
Rest assured that we are on the case and addressing all concerns and shortages as a matter of urgency and priority, and look forward to being fully stocked up again. As we navigate this new and exciting partnership, we’ve already learned a lot and now have a sound idea about the level of demand and excitement for our rewards. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store in the months ahead. As the seasons change, so too will our offers to you, the members.
